Multisite support has finally arrived!

Proper support for multisite has been requested for a long time, and we're glad to say it's finally arrived. You can now store different variations of an Address across multiple sites in your project.

For the full details, read about Multisite Support in the docs.

Import from the Ether Maps plugin

We've also made it incredibly simple to import Address data from an existing Ether Maps field. Porting the data is easy... simply change the field type! After saving the field, all of the existing Address data from that field will be converted over to the Google Maps plugin.

See Converting from Ether Maps for more details, including instructions for minor updates to your Twig templates.

Good news for WordPress converts!

For those folks migrating to Craft from WordPress, who may have a Google Map field within Advanced Custom Fields, you are in luck! The lead developer of Craft CMS, Brandon Kelly, recently submitted a PR which let's you smoothly transition to Craft using the Google Maps plugin. For complete details, read the full article about wp-import.

More bug fixes!

No significant release would be complete without some good ol' fashioned bug fixes. For complete details on what got patched, see the changelogs for v4 and v5.
